Welcome to Rotary Club of San Carlos, California

President's Message

Welcome to another Rotary year!  The San Carlos Club is celebrating its 60th year as a service club.  We can be very proud of our past accomplishments, which helped to ensure San Carlos remains the “City of Good Living.”

This year, however, we must focus our attention to the future.  We can anticipate that the current economic downturn will also have an impact on our organization.  In order to sustain our Club, we must strive to continue to attract men and women who are committed to helping improve lives both locally and globally.  This is all of our responsibilities.

Our Centennial Project is our endowment fund.  We must continue to help grow this fund in order to assist our youth in obtaining a good education and become contributing members of our society.

Internationally, this year’s theme is “Make Dreams Real.”  In our effort to meet this mission, we will continue our efforts in Community, International, Vocational and Club Service projects that will incorporate this theme in all we do.

We must remember why we joined Rotary, and to that end, I ask each you to take a more active role to enable our Club become the District 5150 Club of the Year.  With our energetic board of directors, dedicated members, and established goals for the year, we will be able to make dreams real.

Yours in Rotary,

Pete Nannarone
President
